Mr. Ythan doing some “Scarf Dancing” this morning with our Saturday at 9:30 am “Beasts” class!
The Little Gym of Perinton-Pittsford would like to recommend two books for your children to enjoy. What makes these two books so special to us is that both were written by Moms who were long time members at our gym. Tamra Werner published Koli’s Friendship Adventure a few years back and it has received several awards and critical acclaim. Just today, I read that Hennessey Lustica, Ph.D has had her book Masks & Smiles published and it certainly seems like a timely and relevant topic for children.
Congratulations to both Author Moms and we are proud to have gotten to know them and their families.
Arthur and Eleanor are hanging ten while “Land Surfing.”
Evan and Dad win our best T-shirts of the day award.
Ten month old Gwen is pretty amazing. She is so small that watching her walk on her own is impressive enough but today we worked on walking backwards which most young children resist adamantly. Not Gwen!
After several valiant attempts, two year old Jacie successfully left her feet to catch the bar.
How do you teach a forward roll to an 18 month old child? A little hill, a little gravity, a little song that children quickly figure out the meaning, and a whole lot of confidence. Way to go Arthur!
Arthur knows his colors! Well, sort of!
Another amazing moment at The Little Gym.
For some reason, our environment is very encouraging to our youngest students to take a risk and try something new. Asher became one of MANY students at The Little Gym to move for the first time in their lives during our confidence building “Bugs” class.
Oakley is 10 months old but once she recognizes our “Hands Down, Touch the Ground” jingle, she knows it’s time for a forward roll. She’s tucking her head all by herself and other than a little push from Mom at the end, this is as independent a somersault as a child this age can do.
Two year old Sophie is fearless and succeeded at a very tough skill all by herself!
Two year old Sophie is fearless and did a challenging skill all by herself .
There was no official memo but it is a rare occurrence when all the kids in our Parent Child class show up with Dads!
