Today we celebrated Ginger Cat Appreciation day—cat apparel and orange attire encouraged! We also gathered for a quick soda break on the lawn and some group photos to help show off some of the new faces that have joined our team this year: Emily and Cristal (veterinary assistants), Paul, Isabel, and Jen (client care coordinators).

The reason that we are continuing to offer these alternate ways of communicating with our office is that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the veterinary industry has experienced a significant increase in demand for services. Meanwhile, following the curbside care model outlined for our industry by the AVMA and the CDC, to protect our clients and staff, involves more staff members per patient, which has caused significant delays on our phone lines. We understand that this is very frustrating, and we are sad ourselves when we are unable to meet your expectations. Frog and Hoodie were born at a cat colony in Tillicum. They were moved indoors at a young age and socialized. However, despite being posted on Petfinder.com, they have not received any interest. The kitties at this colony in Tillicum have been cared for by a very dedicated veteran. Unfortunately, these colony cats, as well as their indoor counterparts, are being evicted on April 1st. This is devastating, not just for the cats losing their homes, but for the many veterans that were benefiting from their soul-soothing presence.

This pet was found by Interlaaken St in Lakewood. A Good Samaritan brought this pet into our office to scan for microchip and will be taking her directly to the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. Please call them for further question or concerns.
