It's a good day to remove the garden hose from the outside spigot. When you use the hose and turn off the spigot, water often remains in the coiled and wrapped up hose, as well as water remaining in the pipeline itself. Furnace Safety Tip #1: Clear the Area
While your furnace is probably located in the basement or a closet, it is important to keep other items you are storing in the area away from the furnace. Do not place items next to or leaning up against the furnace. Crowding the furnace can decrease its efficiency. Additionally, and even more importantly, paper, cardboard or other similar items can catch fire if the equipment becomes too hot.

A lot of "junk" can build up around the outdoor AC unit (leaves, weeds, trash, etc.) make sure to clean up around the unit. Rake away leaves, branches and dirt that have collected in the two-foot areas surrounding it. Cut back bushes and plants that are growing near it as well. . Keeping it clear will help the system to cool without unnecessary stress.
