At Transitions Sober Living, we've created an environment for you to feel safe, grounded, and accepted during recovery and we wouldn't be able to do so without our staff. We work with rehab centers, outpatient treatment programs, psychiatrists, and therapists to provide the support you need. We understand the importance of complete abstinence and conduct substance screenings, regularly. We closely monitor and enforce our curfew. And, we case management for co-occurring disorders. R E L A P S E. It's more common than you may think and that's because there are some common triggers that can make staying sober more difficult for those in recovery. Here are the 7 Most Common Relapse Triggers (and how to avoid them): 1. Lack of confidence. The help offered in #soberlivinghomes will help to rebuild your confidence and avoid relapse. 2. Celebrations. If you decide you must go, take a sober friend with you and commit to leaving after an hour or so. 3. Accidentally bumping into it. Be proactive and ask your friends if there may be drugs present so you can do you best to avoid these situations. 4. When the "sober high" ends. Once you leave rehab, the high begins to subside and all the natural triggers start making it hard for you to stay sober. The best thing you can do is transition out of the rehab high into a safe environment. 5. Overwhelming emotions. Work with a counselor or educator through virtual sessions to learn more about emotions and prevent them from becoming a trigger. 6. Your old environment. It would help if you created a new, sober environment with nothing but sober memories attached to it. 7. Boredom. You can avoid this by getting a new job, learning a new hobby, running errands for people in need, visiting sober friends and family, and/or attending meetings several times a day if needed.
