In response to health official recommendations concerning the spread of coronavirus, at Universal Pest Control we'll be taking steps to limit exposure to both our customers and technicians. Inspections and treatments that do not require entrance to the home will continue as scheduled. (We’ll wave to you through the window.) Inspections and treatments that require access to the interior of your home will be rescheduled until after officials have deemed the situation recovered. By taking these measures, our dedicated team can protect your family’s health and theirs. If you have an exterior treatment coming up within the next month or two, please consider calling us to move it up. This will help to lessen the impact Universal Pest Control will surely face trying to reschedule treatments following the outbreak during an already hectic season. We appreciate your patience as we all work together through these troubling times. READ MORE HERE: http://ow.ly/8OHk50yP6kr BUGANDTERMITECONTROL.COM Coronavirus Statement - Universal Pest Control

Bat World Sanctuary October 8 at 3:03 PM · It's that time of year when young bats are learning to migrate and hibernate for the winter. They sometimes get lost and end up in human structures. Bats are valuable, gentle, intelligent and clean and they need help when they are lost. If you find a bat trapped inside a building (or in any trouble otherwise) please remember to use gloves to place the bat inside a box with a lid, then contact us. We have rescuers across the US and will do our best to help. :)
We are very careful about the types of products we use when treating pests on boats and other areas around the water, because toxic chemicals can so easily infiltrate our water systems and poison the creatures living there. As a dedicated sailor, I also just love the ocean and everything in it. Joyce Ostrander Yonker November 8 at 11:54 PM · It’s cold out there. Please be kind to opossums. Many of them find a cozy place to combat the cold. (so many we see are missing parts of tails , ears , toes , due to previous frost bite) Your porch, under your shed, etc. may be the only place they have to go. They won’t hurt anything and shooing them out may be certain death due to lack of shelter. They are Northern America’s ONLY marsupial. And these precious souls RARELY get rabies, they eat fleas, ticks and other pests. Please ❤ This holiday season. Be kind. Be the change you wish to see in the world

Lorna Steele added a new photo to the album: Opossum Rehab. March 18 at 12:32 PM · Wildlife baby season has begun, so I'll be posting some informational PSA's to help them out. Many orphans can be left a few hours to see if mom comes back...NOT OPOSSUMS! If you see a baby like this one in a yard or anywhere, get it quickly in a little box or pet carrier with a blanket and keep warm and call a wild life rescue. Momma opossum can have up to 13 babies. As they grow, they don't all fit in the pouch so they ride on her back. If something startles her and she runs, one can fall off. Momma doesn't know she lost one so please never ever leave one thinking mom will come back...
