Cant resist a puppy selfie ❤
Happy Birthday to our wonderful manager Leigh! Thank you for everything you do for us! You are always helping us out when we need it and we are so grateful to have a hard working manager like you! Hope you have a great birthday! ❤
’Tis the season of pumpkin spice, warm socks and plaid! Now that it’s fall, we hope you and your pets enjoy colorful walks (and be careful if jumping in leaves)! 🍂🍁
It’s National Indoor Plant Week! 🌿 Make sure to avoid houseplants that are poisonous for pets, like sago palms. Sago palms: beautiful, but deadly! Because they contain the toxin cycasin, this can lead to liver failure if eaten. So to be extra safe, it might be a good idea to leave this plant out of your decoration scheme. 🛑🐱🐶 Looking for pet-safe plants? Visit the ASPCA’s guide: bit.ly/32iHASu. If your pet has ingested a toxic plant, call your veterinarian or Animal Poison Control (888-426-4435) right away. ASPCA.ORG Toxic and Non-Toxic Plants
We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍 When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets
Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families. We've included some tips to help manage and care for the community cats in your neighborhood. Helping these cats starts by being a responsible guardian! Spay/neuter your own cat and keep them indoors. * In just seven years, a single pair of cats and their offspring could produce a staggering total of 420,000 kittens! #VCApets
Last but not least we have our wonderful manager Leigh. Leigh is originally from Bismarck, ND and moved to Colorado in 2004. She graduated from Bel-Rea and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2008 and has been working for VCA Animal Clinic of Parker ever since. As much as she loves working hands on with the animals she also enjoys her roll in management which allows her to fulfill her “OCD tendencies.” Leigh enjoys many of Colorado’s activities such as hiking and snowboarding, but most of her spare time is now spent with her wonderful baby girl, Maddison! Thank you Leigh for being an outstanding office manager, and bringing smiles to our faces! ❤
Tali recently joined our team in August as a veterinary assistant. She is from Durango, CO. She enjoys reading, painting, teaching, and doing anything with animals. Her love for animals and medicine made her want to get into the veterinary field. She loves to foster animals and help them find forever homes. Thank you for everything you do! ❤
Lindsay recently joined our team in September 2020. She recently moved to Colorado from Clear water, Florida. She has been a veterinary assistant for 2 years. She has a biology degree and got into the veterinary field for her love of animals. In her free time she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and binge watching Netflix. Welcome to our team Lindsay and we think you be great a team member! ❤

Decorating for Halloween and celebrating from home? Keep them out of reach from curious paws. Just a friendly reminder that candy, chocolate and gourds can be harmful to your pet.

Sick, starved, scared and lacking socialization, the puppies needed the serious hands-on care that only VCA could provide. Over the weeks ahead, caregivers became the first family these dogs would ever have -- while helping them find their forever homes.
