Happy 1 yr Anniversary Missi! Thanks for joining our team at VCA Westerville. We're glad you're here. :)
We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet!🐍
When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets
FUN FACT: The following sentence uses all the letters of the alphabet and is used quite frequently by beginning typing students: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Happy Birthday Sophia! Today is your day to enjoy and relax.
Is your cat more trick or treat? 😸#VCApets
It’s almost #Halloween, so this #FallSafetyTip is all about pumpkins 🎃! Although plain, baked pumpkin can have nutritional benefits for your dog, the stem, skin, pulp and raw seeds are all dangerous for them to eat. When in doubt, stick to dog food or contact your veterinarian. #VCApets
It’s National Animal Safety and Protection Month, so it’s a good idea to have a safety plan in place for your pet in case of emergencies. Need help getting started?

COVID-19 has impacted pet owners in more ways than ever imagined. In response, VCA Charities, in partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, continues to find ways to increase its impact and enable access to veterinary care.
Through recent grants to shelter partners as well as the new VCA Charities HOPE Funds programs, vulnerable pets are receiving care and pet owners are finding hope. Pets like Stella, who experienced labor complications, and whose owner recently found themselves unemployed, received life-saving care and support for her five puppies.
To show our commitment to #vcacharities, VCA will be matching client donations, dollar-for-dollar up to $300,000, now through December 31, 2020. Join us in supporting pets like Stella, by making a donation when you visit a VCA hospital, online at vcacharities.org or text HOPE to 213-325-1919. #vcacares #abetterworldforpets #proudlymars

Can I get my pet's food and medicine delivered?
ANSWER: Dogs and cats can show flu-like signs of illness that are associated with many common viral and bacterial infections that are generally not transmissible to people. If your pet is showing signs of illness, contact your VCA veterinarian for care.
If your veterinarian suspects that your pet may be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, he or she will work with public health officials to determine whether testing is appropriate.
