Keeping Safe During COVID-19: (UPDATED 7.8.2020) We are delighted to inform you that we will be inviting clients to join their pets inside our hospital again for vet appointments! Check-in for all clients will continue via phone, please call 781 237 0066 upon arrival outside the hospital building. If you are more comfortable continuing with curbside appointments, please inform the receptionist during the check-in call. Beginning July 6, we will allow ONE person to accompany their pets into the exam room for a vet appointment. In order to limit exposure risk within the building, we ask that you remain in your car until the reception staff invite you into the building. There will be a hand sanitizing station at the entrance for all clients to use upon entry and exit. You and your pet will then be shown directly into the exam room. As always, the health and safety of our clients, patients, team and our community is a top priority. We wanted you to know, we will be continuing our safety and social distancing protocols in adherence to state and local guidelines to help control the spread of COVID-19 and protect everyone in our community. Our staff will continue to wear a mask for everyone's protection and we will require all clients to wear a mask or face covering to enter the hospital building. Additionally, we ask that you use your best judgement concerning health issues, recent travel and/or potential exposure to COVID-19. Technician appointments, scheduled drop-offs and prescription pick-up will continue to be handled curbside. We will also be expanding our hours during the week to the following: Hours of Operation: Monday: 8am-5pm Tuesday: 8am-5pm Wednesday: 8am-8pm Thursday: 8am-8pm Friday: 8am-5pm Saturday: Closed Sunday: Closed Phone Number: 781-237-0066 Please call us at 781 237 0066 to discuss your pet’s needs and to schedule an appointment. We look forward to seeing you and your pet soon and hope you and your family remain well. Sincerely, The Wellesley Animal Hospital Team

September is National Guide Dog Month. These special pups live to serve, protect and assist. Guide dogs, seeing eye dogs, service pets, and assistance animals are all considered service dogs. Did you know that guide dogs are trained to display “intelligent disobedience?” This means they will refuse to obey a command from their owners if they see a danger their owners have missed, such as a car that ran a red light. Pretty smart pups!
