Just a little public service announcement:). We have seen a ton of people posting about new puppies since social distancing started. This is great, and a good time as people are home to work with the puppy, but make sure that you get the puppy used to spending time in a kennel! Put him/her in the kennel and go for a walk, sit outside, etc. If you never use a kennel, then quarantine ends and you go back to work without acclimating your puppy to alone/kennel time it can raise big problems.
If you have a minute (or 4) here is a quick update:)
If you have a minute please take a listen. We will be returning to normal office hours but will remain curbside at this time.
We take this day to remember and honor those that came before us and led us to the place we now are. Thank you to all those that have sacrificed in the past to make the future a better place.
If you have a few minutes please take a listen:)
Good morning everyone,
I hope everyone remains healthy and safe as we struggle through this new normal. Just wanted to give an update as to how things are going and keep all of our clients informed. Overall the process is going well, we are able to continue caring for pets and doing the things we love while trying to keep everyone as safe as possible. Thanks to our clients for being understanding of the new policies that are allowing us to stay open, to say it is a little exhausting for our doctors and staff is an understatement but we have fallen into a little bit of a groove/routine and are going to keep pushing through, and the support we have received has been overwhelming.
One challenge that we (and most businesses) are facing is that every new solution leads to new problems, which leads to new solutions, which leads to new problems.... The biggest challenge we are facing right now is that every appointment we have is usually requiring, at a minimum, 3 phone calls, often 4, and sometimes more. As a result our phone lines have rapidly been overrun and clients are (unfortunately) getting our voice mail when all of our lines are full. Of course, checking messages left by clients requires the use of a phone line, which results in more clients having to leave messages, and the list goes on. Solutions seem simple, add more phone lines, of course our current phone system can only service a certain number of lines so that would require a replacement of our whole phone system, which is difficult to get accomplished right now as it isn't just a "plug and play" scenario. We are looking into other options such as cellular phones for outgoing calls, but that also has its limitations.
In short, I am writing this to let you know we are aware it is an issue and are working on ways to resolve it to the best of our ability. In the short term please bear with us, and again, thank you for your understanding in these challenging times.
