Last week more than 50 Valley Health employees participated in the United Way Day of Caring. Teams from Valley Health tackled projects in Winchester, Frederick County, Shenandoah County and Martinsburg. The projects included painting and staining, landscaping, exterior repairs and trash pickup for area non-profit organizations. One month after graduating nursing school Bailey Dillow, RN, Winchester Medical Center, provided emergency first aid and compassionate care to a motorcycle accident victim on her way home from a hospital shift. She warned oncoming traffic and stayed with the victim until a rescue squad arrived on scene. In recognition for her acts of courage, Bailey was named 2020 Gold Citizen of the Year. Congratulations, Bailey, and thank you for being a Valley Health caregiver.
