Notice: due to a newly received positive COVID test result in a health center staff member, all health center visitation is on hold until at least October 2, 2020, as required under the applicable NYS regs. The staff member was and continues to be asymptomatic, this was identified during our routine weekly testing. The staff member last worked on site on 9/10, in our adult care facility, and this test was taken on 9/17. All assisted living residents have been tested out of an abundance of caution. All residents and all other staff members are asymptomatic as well.

“An 8:30 pm update: we now have confirmed all but one of the previously existing negative health center residents have re-tested NEGATIVE. We are waiting for ONE more of the previously negative residents. The previously positive health center residents retest results should be in tomorrow. But this means that all but ONE pending result from the retest on Sunday remain negative.” Keep the good vibes coming.
Although it may not have been the preferred way to celebrate, our residents were able to enjoy a gourmet Thanksgiving feast, prepared by our amazing Chef, right inside the comfort of their home. Here’s how one of our residents made their meal extra special, with a perfect presentation! #WPfamily
“At a time of difficulty when we're supposed to mix only with our immediate household for Thanksgiving and when Zoom dining doesn't cut it, I made the most of , presentation (see attached).
Considering, it worked out pretty well. I had a leisurely two hour meal, liberally lubricated by my iced bottle of Prosecco. I could look out the picture window, watch the changing clouds over the Gunks and the birds at the feeders as the light shifted from sun to shadow.
Despite life's complexities, there is a fair amount to give thanks for this day. Not the least of which in my case is that we are thoughtfully and carefully protected from the virus by all available means here at Woodland Pond. Stay well and with a wakening, perhaps new beginnings in a better year. “

Best news of the day: our chart improved by TWO results, so we are down to “2” positive cases by headcount, one Skilled Nursing staff member and one Assisted Living staff member. Overall positivity by headcount is 2 of 555, or 0.36%.
