This patient underwent an abdominoplasty and liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. She had a significant diastasis recti, where the connective tissue is stretched out after pregnancy. This led to the bulging of the abdomen, though the patient was many months postpartum. Unlike popular ‘wisdom’ on the internet, diastasis recti can only be fully corrected surgically. What a great result! I am particularly proud of the contouring of the abdomen that I performed with liposuction to give the patient her flat, smooth, fit contour.

Our patient desired a subtle lip augmentation which I achieved with Volbella. My signature technique emphasizes the Philtral columns giving a slight upturn to the lip in addition to increasing lip volume in a natural-looking manner. As fillers become more ubiquitous, so does the "duck" or "earthworm" lip aesthetic. To avoid this, patients should seek injectable treatments from a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to receive safe treatment and beautiful results.

It’s not all large volume liposuction! Many of my patients have small areas of stubborn fat that cannot be eliminated via diet and exercise. These patients are often very physically fit but still unhappy with their aesthetic appearance in these areas. In this case, this patient desired a more fit, slim contour of the lower back, which I created using liposuction. In cases like these, please make sure you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon. Creating the right contour with liposuction requires experience and precision, and I am often asked to correct aesthetically unpleasing outcomes from other practitioners who were either too aggressive, not aggressive enough, or not strategic with their liposuction.

Normally for under-eye circles or bags, the treatment I perform is to place injectable fillers in the tear trough area - usually Restylane. However, in this case, the puffiness around the eyes was closer to the lid margin than a typical tear trough issue. This problem is actually the result of a hyperactive orbicularis oculi muscle. To soften and smooth this area, I treated this patient with a small amount of Botox. For sensitive areas around the eyes (for all injectable treatments!), see an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist. This is a 22y/o patient who underwent a breast reduction with me. The difference between a breast reduction and a breast lift - though it is something of a spectrum and the two can be combined - is whether the surgeon removes breast tissue to make the breast smaller versus solely lifting it. In this case, the patient wanted to decrease the size of her breasts, and I removed 200grams + from each side. Overly large breasts can be cumbersome and often lead to neck, shoulder, and back pain. This patient was excited about her results! She’s only pictured 7 weeks postop, so her surgical scars as usual will continue to fade significantly

This patient underwent arm #liposuction with me fairly recently, and I removed 300cc per side. She is pictured here only 6 weeks after surgery and has seen a significant change in contour, which will continue to improve. Many patients come to me asking about liposuction of the upper arms. This is an area of VERY stubborn fat despite diet and weight loss, and many of these patients are otherwise relatively thin. It is important to visit a board-certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in this area. The fat deposits are not large overall, and too much liposuction can produce contour irregularities while too little can fail to create the contour the patient desires.
