I am a little bird
"I did not cost thousands to buy. I am not a rare species you can brag about owning. They call me a 'starter' bird. They call me a beginner's bird ! I am all too often an impulse buy that can be dismissed when I am too much trouble. They do not understand me, and breed more of my kind, when so many are already looking for homes. They lock me away. Ignore me. Sell me. They don't see me, they don't know me.
I AM rare. The price tag that is placed on me and my size do not define me. I am the only one of me you'll ever meet. I do not think I am small. In my mind I am a large bird with a personality and intelligence. I am affectionate. I too deserve a big cage, respect, love, medical treatment, and adoration.
I am irreplaceable. You will never find one like ME again. Do not define me by my size, commonness or price tag. Love me and I will love you back.
Sweet Bonnie is still looking for her furever home. She was in rescue and has been living with us since February. Bonnie is a little shy but likes people. She is getting used to new things every day. She loves ear pets, pellets and greens. She is spayed and ready for a loving home. Please contact the clinic if you would like to adopt her.
ATTENTION: effective Monday July 13, 2020. ALL clients interacting with any member of our staff will be asked to wear a mask/face covering even within your own car during the interaction. If your pet is in a carrier, you will be asked to remove your pet from the car and place the carrier on the sidewalk rather than hand them to the technician checking you in. If your dog is on a leash, you will be asked to remove your dog from your car, on your own leash and we will place our leash on your pet and return your leash. All humans will be expected to wear a mask/ face covering. All transactions should be done by phone/credit card. If this is not possible, the receptionist will instruct you how to deliver the check/cash when you check out. If you do not have a mask, we will be happy to provide one for you. If you refuse to comply with these policies we will be unable to provide veterinary services for your pet. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. We are working hard to care for your pets and protect us all.
