With COVID-19 restrictions beginning to ease I would like to update everyone on our protocol.
At this time our protocol has not yet changed. For the safety of our staff and clients, no clients are allowed in the building except for end of life situations (2 people per appointment).
When you arrive please call 502-245-9311, we will either bring out what you need or come to the car to bring in your pet. The doctor will then call and speak with you.
Payment is via check or credit card over the phone.
We are able to schedule surgeries and dentals and routine appointments, but we are playing catch up so the wait time may be longer than usual.
Inside the clinic we are following all CDC and state guidelines regarding cleaning, temperature checks and PPE.
As things change, we will continue to keep you updated. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to safely return to a new normal.

All clients need to REMAIN IN THEIR CARS and call 502-245-9311 upon arrival.
A staff member will come out to your car to bring your pet in and will return your pet to you once the exam is finished. A doctor will call to discuss any questions or treatments needed. Payment will be made over the phone.

Due to daycare closures and self-isolations we are operating with reduced staff, routine vaccines will be delayed in order to accommodate sick and emergent patients.
Routine surgeries (spays, neuters and non-critical dental cleanings) will not be scheduled until further notice.

A message from the Doctors of Middletown Animal Clinic,
While it has not been shown that pets can contract and become ill from the current novel Coronavirus (Covid 19), the virus can travel from infected people by touching surfaces where respiratory droplets have landed and through contact with people that are sick. In order to be able to continue to provide care to our veterinary patients, keep our team of veterinary providers here at the clinic as healthy as possible, and follow guidelines enacted by the CDC, Federal, and State governmental authorities the following changes to our normal business operations will begin Monday, March 16:
When you arrive at the clinic please call our regular office number at 502-245-9311 to speak with a receptionist to check in. A team member will either call to let you know when an exam room is ready or wave you in from the front door. We will then walk you and your pet directly into an exam room to avoid congestion in waiting areas and at the front desk. After the appointment is finished we will dispense any needed medications and also take payment by card if available in the exam room. You and your pet can then leave the clinic and return your car. On nice weather days you are welcome to walk your pet outside as well before an exam room is available. Our goal is to reduce waiting room congestion and number of people at the front desk.
If you are picking up food or medications please call ahead to minimize wait times, and if you see another client at the desk wait until they leave to enter.
If you or a family member you are in contact with is sick please call to cancel and reschedule your appointment.
If your pet has an emergency and you are sick, please call to let the staff know and stay in your car. For emergency pet situations with sick owners we will come to the car, take your pet in for its exam, then call with a treatment plan, and answer any questions by phone. Payment by card can also be taken over the phone. Your pet will then be returned to you at your car.
Keep in mind that due to possible short staffing of our clinic due to illness or quarantines-wellness appointments will have a longer wait time for scheduling.
We ask for your continued support during this time of uncertainty. If the need arises to change our business operations or potentially close due to a mandatory quarantine we will do our best to keep our clients informed.
We are looking to get replacement windows at the clinic! We love to be able to support our clients when possible so we are reaching out to see if anyone is in the window business or had a great experience with a local company. (Picture because we need more smiling dogs in our news feed)
Due to high community spread of COVID-19 our ability to staff our clinic is being affected. Please be patient with us as we continue to try to see as many patients as possible but understand routine services may be rescheduled on an as needed basis.
