With over 30 years of clinical experience and triple board certified in neurology, vascular neurology and sleep medicine, Allamprabhu S. Patil, MD is a neurointensivist at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Patil is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Patil received his received his medical degree from Government Medical College in Aurangabad, India. He then completed both his neurology and psychiatry residencies at NYU School of Medicine. Following his residencies, Dr. Patil completed fellowships in neuropharmacology, neurosurgery, EEG/epilepsy, neuro-oncology and stroke.
Dr. Patil is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both neurology and vascular neurology. Dr. Patil is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, American Stroke Association and the American Epilepsy Association.
