Dr. Amy Wang was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Southern California at the age of 11. After completing her BS in Biochemistry at UCLA and medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University, now known as Drexel University School of Medicine, Dr. Wang returned to California and completed her residency at UC Irvine. Following residency Dr. Wang worked 6 years as a Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center Urgent Clinic physician before joining UCLA Health. Dr. Wang is passionate about developing a good patient-physician relationship and providing care ranging from preventive health to addressing acute illnesses and chronic ailments. She helps patients understand their disease processes and empowers them to play an active role in maintaining their health. Dr. Wang is excited to join UCLA Health in Palos Verdes as a primary care physician and clinical instructor.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys travelling with her family and hobbies that require lots of patience and focus like jigsaw puzzles, sewing, and reading.
