About

Boston Veterinary Clinic is a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic that provides compassionate, fear-free veterinary care for our patients and trusted, relationship-focused services to our clients. We are Your Other Family Doctor.

Boston Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Brian J. Bourquin and opened its doors in historic Bay Village/South End in 2014. Today, we have grown to a five-doctor practice that offers individualized, nose-to-tail care to dogs & cats in Greater Boston.

In 2016, Boston Veterinary Clinic was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. That means your furry family member will be cared for by one of the top 12-15% of animal hospitals in the United States and Canada.

Our scheduled appointments are 30 minutes, not 15 or 20 minutes like other clinics, to ensure no question goes unanswered. We will get to know you and your companion’s lifestyle and address your needs individually.

Our veterinary team is trained in Fear Free℠ techniques designed to provide a stress and anxiety-free environment during your time at the clinic. Stress-free visits improves the overall health of our patients and their guardians.

As an urban practice in New England, we are experts in the challenges and opportunities for our four-legged family in Greater Boston. We are your trusted partners in their daily care.

Kimberly Keil is with Chip Keil. July 12 at 6:26 PM · This little guy got out of his invisible fence....no doubt chasing a squirrel that was outside the boundary. He managed to fight off the coyotes that tried to kill him. The shock collar around his neck had prevented his return to his home and yard, so he went back into the woods to lay down to die. His owner was determined to find him. When he was found he was pretty torn up with a temp of 94°F. Invisible fencing is Not going to keep animals, or other threats out of your yard. If your dog runs through the barrier in pursuit of a critter, he's going to get corrected by that collar if he tries to get back home.... Please reconsider invisible fencing. People may say that they have been using them for years without issue. However, it only takes once for it to go very wrong..... 😔

Ayúdanos a seguir ayudando. El llamado es urgente: Proyecto Nala y su singular manada necesitan mudarse y conseguir un techo seguro. https://www.proyectonala.com/dona/ o súmate a nuestra campaña en GoFundMe https://gf.me/u/yxh3zn. This Spring as the pandemic raged through Massachusetts, veterinarians were deemed essential workers. While others sheltered in place, we continued to see our patients & actually were even busier as so many got “pandemic pets”! Now, MA has placed veterinarians in Phase 3, only one step from the general public even though we cannot to our jobs from the safety of our homes. Other states have recognized the role vets & vet staff play in the health system & have placed them in Phase 1 behind the brave men & women on the COVID frontline. Without a vaccine, we cannot safely return to clients in our clinics, which means more curbside or worse yet closures if the virus hits our small clinics. Please sign & let MA know you value your vet & need us healthy to keep your pets healthy! CHANGE.ORG 🔥Act now: Access to COVID-19 Vaccine for Veterinarians and Support Staff in Massachusetts
