Brookdale Dogwood Creek celebrates National Assisted Living Week with a drive-by BBQ!
The finishing touches are being painted on our mural created by Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living residents as well as associates. When it is finished, “Our Community Garden” mural will be displayed in the Brookdale Dogwood Creek lobby.
What a wonderful day to practice our putting on our very own green! Residents spent the day walking, reading and enjoying fresh air and sunshine!

Brookdale Dogwood Creek hosted a BBQ extravaganza, raising funds to help end the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Residents, associates, and prospects picked up their bag of BBQ happiness and enjoyed a lunch that was not only delicious but was for a good cause. We are looking forward to the virtual Alzheimer's Walk in November!
Prospects of Brookdale Dogwood Creek enjoyed an afternoon of virtual painting. Each step of this creation was demonstrated by a professional artist, "witch" made it super easy to do. We named our masterpiece, "The Zoom Broom"! Many thanks to all of our future residents for making this event so much fun!
Our Fall craft project was a lot of fun. Residents made beautiful decoupage centerpieces that warmed their evenings with an "Autumn Glow". (and a battery-operated candle!)
After watching one of our favorite movies,”Ladies in Lavender”, we continued the afternoon featuring the lovely flower with an abstract multimedia creation!
Although we couldn't be at the annual Alzheimer event, spirits soared as the residents and staff of Brookdale Dogwood Creek walked laps in the community courtyard to help in the fight against Alzheimer's Disease!
Brookdale Dogwood Creek enjoyed a special afternoon Veteran parade sponsored by the PNA! Our Vets had front and center seats to enjoy the show. The line of decorated cars made a complete circle around our community so the residents and staff could watch from their balconies, courtyards and windows! Many thanks to Chastin, our Business Development Coordinator who helped put this all together.
Happy Veteran's Day from Brookdale Dogwood Creek! We are very proud of our veterans, and we thank them for their service! We are looking forward to a Veterans Day vehicle parade on Friday that will be saluting veterans at all area senior living communities!

The residents and associates of Brookdale Dogwood Creek brought out all the bells and whistles as we received the first vaccination against the COVID- 19 virus. The second round is schedule for February 19, 2021 and we are very excited to take this next step towards our new beginning!
This week's Irish Happy Hour in Clare Bridge featured individual Shepherd's Pie, Barry's Irish tea, Celtic music and a beautiful primrose craft. Our residents have been enjoying virtual travel in the month of January, visiting countries from all around the world.
