Brookdale's response to COVID-19 | Brookdale Senior Living Newsroom
Our residents wanted to send a friendly shout out to their loved ones. They all are missing family and friends!
They want to let them know that they are doing fine with a little smile behind the board.
We enjoyed the beautiful day outside on the patio reminiscing about the good old days.
We honored the men and women yesterday by having a virtual carpool parade for whom served and died for our country. Residents' family and friends were escorted by Germantown Police Officers into the parking lot and everyone was so excited. They honked horns, decorated their vehicles and also made posters. The event made FOX 13 News. Some residents haven't seen there loved ones since the pandemic started. Resident Millie Dowdy and Program Coordinator Shonita Ganaway spoke to the press on how important it is to honor our fallen soldiers. Millie also celebrated her birthday yesterday, her family brought cake and ice cream for everyone.
Many clippings of our social distance. It is starting to be a new normal for our community without hesitation. Shonita made coasters for the ladies for Mother's Day so that they could sit their delicious margaritas on or just have them for decoration. We also got a virtual visit by our local Pharmacy Guardian. It was super cool to have them drop by with their signs.
When you think about the 80s you think of lots of cool colors, great times, dancing and also relaxing. Today was a great day Residents and Staff are continuing 6ft distance and having fun with it.
