Dr. Senft graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. He went on to complete a Masters in Science in Human Nutrition at Columbia University before attending Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he received his M.D. in 1995.
Dr. Senft then began his ophthalmology training at SUMMA Health System in Akron, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident during his senior year. Following this, he was accepted to the Louisiana State University Eye Center as a cornea fellow under the direction of Dr. Herbert Kaufmann, a pioneer in the field of corneal transplantation, advanced cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. While at LSU, Dr. Senft received a Fight For Sight grant to perform research in his chosen field.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Senft is a board-certified eye physician and surgeon. He is also an associate professor at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Monmouth County. He specializes in advanced cataract surgery, corneal surgery, external eye diseases, and refractive surgery.
