Blessings is playing the piano and singing after dinner one evening, then after dinner the following evening, a resident who has dementia, says to you, “are you going to play the piano today?” ( I only play with a few chords that I know. Don’t ask me to play in church. 🤣🤣🤣). I was shocked that the resident remembered the piano being played the previous evening.
Thank God for the resident’s question which led to a blessed family worship. Will be doing this every evening. Loving the moms and dads God has blessed me with. Filling the gap as a daughter for the benefit of daughters and sons who are far away. Nothing is more rewarding than tucking a resident in bed, saying, “goodnight. I love you,” and hearing the response, “ sweet dreams, I love you more.” God is worthy to be praised! Thank you God for providing mothers and fathers for me to love.

My son Kevin and I with our own after dinner show at our assisted living in Derwood MD. I cannot sing like my son, but I thank God for what I can do.

Infectious disease experts warned that the pandemic is out of control in some places and soon could reach 100,000 cases a day.
Nationally new infections have topped 40,000 in four of the past five days.
