On Sept. 17, Encompass Health Sewickley hosted a socially distanced outdoor marketing event for the MASH (Marketing Admissions Supporting Healthcare) networking group. This was the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began that the networking group participants were able to have live, face to face interaction with the goal of connecting to help each other succeed in the healthcare industry.
MASH co-founders Kerry Beck of Senior Living Advisors and Shandra Harcarik of Gallagher Home Health joined MASH North/West Chapter Chairperson and Area Business Development Director Lisa Hopkins in welcoming the guests. Shandra, former patient of Encompass Health Sewickley, presented an emotional and inspiring presentation titled “When the Nurse Becomes the Patient.” Her presentation empowered the audience to advocate and add value to each of our interactions.
On Sept. 20, Encompass Health Sewickley celebrated the first anniversary of our new hospital.
“Encompass Health Sewickley has provided care as part of the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, network for over 20 years. And in those years, we’ve helped patients regain confidence and return to the community at their highest levels of independence.
This new building has been an exciting new chapter for us and allows us the space to serve even more patients for many years to come. It has been an exciting successful first year.” -Leah Laffey, CEO of Encompass Health Sewickley
