Angelo Georges, M.D., who has a practice in internal medicine, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in science and biology. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University (OSU). He is chief medical officer at Wheeling Hospital. Dr. Georges also serves as: preceptor of the hospital's Internal Medicine Program for family practice residents; is chairman of the Wheeling Hospital Department of Internal Medicine; and is a member and past president of the West Virginia Board of Medicine. Dr. Georges received the American Academy of Family Physician Award in 1993 for participation as an active instructor in family medicine and was named by his colleagues in 1996 as one of the tri-state area's top internal medicine physicians. In addition, Dr. Georges is an active member of: the Ohio County Medical Society; the American Medical Society of Internal Medicine; The OSU Order of Hippocrates; the West Virginia Medical Association; and various Wheeling area civic organizations and charities.
