Heartland Habilitative Services, LLC (HHS) is a Specialized Agency Provider for Developmental Disability Services licensed by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. HHS is a family owned and operated company founded in 2011 by brothers James Scott and Arthur Scott. Drawing upon their more than 22 years of experience in working with special education, developmental disabilities, and juvenile services, the brothers re-think some of the traditional methods of service delivery in favor of highly-structured programs with fewer restrictions and a greater focus on skill development and community inclusion.

Registered Nurse (RN)
Heartland Habilitative Services, LLC is seeking to hire a part time RN to assist individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Qualified canidates will:
• Be responsible for training, auditing, providing correctives, and directing medication aides.
• Arrange Medication Administration Records to Therap
• Respond to staff regarding medication administration times.
• Approve PRN medications
• Ensure compliance between MAR and medications that are given.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential to providing individuals with an exceptional
patient care experience.

What We Provide at Heartland Habilitative
Residential option for individuals with mild intellectual and developmental disabilities
Residential option for semi-independent living
Individuals have an option to live alone, with roommates, or in an Extended Family Home.
Individual receive daily or intermittent agency supervision, as needed.
Individuals can utilize any combination of in-home services or community services.
Expenses can be covered by SSI or SSDI and DD Wavier programs.

Breathing is something we do without even thinking about it, but did you know that being able to control our breathing in certain situations actually calms our mind? This is an important technique that anyone can apply. Try it out.
Step 1: Stand or sit with your back being straight.
Step 2: Inhale through your nose while counting to 6.
Step 3: Hold that breath for 2 seconds.
Step 4: Exhale that breath out your mouth.
Repeat these easy 4 steps for about 2 mins.
