“What Do You Want to Do Wednesday?”
Robert came to us in hopes of getting a whole new set up, as his was older and ill fitting. He wanted to be able to be active with his grandchildren, hunt with his sons, and coach his track and field team without the hassle of an ill-fitting prosthesis. He needed a socket, knee and foot that fit him well and could keep up with his highly active life. We successfully fit him with a new suction socket, an Ottobock C-leg and Taleo foot.
Robert is back to doing what he loves, without anything holding him back!

A fun fact about Micheala is that she an Iowa Hawkeye fan, but (unfortunately), her husband, Brody is an Iowa State fan. She is also a Pittsburgh Pirates and a Minnesota Vikings fan, and he is a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan... so they are a "house-divided"!

“What Do You Want to Do Wednesday?”
Emily first visited us back in March, after she was healed from her injury. She was looking for a solution to improve her functionality after the loss of some of her digits. She wanted to be able to hold objects still as she used her other hand, for example holding a paper while writing, or holding her magazine still while turning a page. Another important aspect she was looking for in her device was to be able to stabilize herself along handrails especially if her right hand is occupied. Most importantly for her, she wanted something that improve her confidence and mental well-being after her accident.
Alternative Prosthetics helped us to create the best device, one that covered every important need and want for Emily. Thank you for trusting us with your care, Emily!

We used a collaborative approach to best serve this client’s needs. From the unique green socket that is currently his resistance training prototype, to the sharp looking lightening inspired socket used for task specific activities like pull-ups, he is back thriving in his local gym.
