I wanted to take a moment and first say thank you to my Lange family, both the staff and the clients that have been such a big part of my last 20 years. The family emergency that led to my abrupt departure in early December involved my 19 year old son, Jacob, and a significant health issue involving his spinal cord. It has been a whirlwind of a month and has culminated in a miracle. You are welcome to read our journey at caringbridge.org/visit/jacobmalone. My deepest gratitude to all of you who had to reschedule your appointments . . . it was not the way I wanted this transition to go, for you or for me, and a difficult time was made easier by the sacrifices made by you and by the staff and doctors at Lange Animal Hospital to accomodate my unforeseen challenges.
And in response to all the kind feedback I have received, first to you, the clients of Lange Animal Hospital. So many of you are more than clients. You are like family. You have shared not just your pets, but your lives and hearts with me. It has been an honor to work with you and more importantly, to get to know you and in some cases, your families. We have laughed together, cried together, grown together, and will forever be a part of who I am. I firmly believe a veterinarian is only as good as our clients allow us to be . . . and you have been the BEST clients. You care deeply for your critters and partner with all of Team Lange for their care, empowering us to do our jobs the way we always hoped we could. Thank you for being fabulous humans and for entrusting your pets' care to me and the rest of the team through the years. I will always be grateful.
And to my Team . . . my home away from home for the last 20 years . . . I love each of you. I am excited for my new opportunity to learn and grow in dentistry, but it is not easy to leave all of you. We have done much life together over all these years and I am in large part who I am because of each of you. I came to Lange as a new graduate. Dr. Wade Milam, Dr. Kelly Miller, and Dr. Lange shared their knowledge with me in all patience and kindness and have made me the veterinarian I've been able to be. Then, Dr. Shumpert and Dr. Burdeaux joined us over this last year, adding even more fabulousness to the mix. You have endeared yourselves to me in record time, Melinda and Richie, and I so respect not just your skills as veterinarians but your amazingness as people. And we all know that any veterinarian is only as good as the assistants and receptionists who help them. To the Lange staff, you have the hardest job of wearing multiple hats at a time and you do it with grace and skill and beautiful, caring hearts. I have been blessed to have been a part of this family that is marked by the highest level of character and integrity across the board and know that those I love (my clients) will be well-cared for by those I love (my colleagues-better-known-as-family).

Royal Canin, Hills and Purina are running into MAJOR ordering problems. We don't know when it will be fixed, we are ordering every week and we are at the mercy of what THEY can fill. Our orders are being canceled or delayed based on what they have available.
Clients please CALL ahead of time, put in a request and we will put aside what we can for you when the products come in, if we don’t already have in stock. Please plan to pick up within a week.
Some diets are on complete backorder and we are having to switch to similar diets from Hills or Purina, so please be flexible. It's not ideal but it is out of our hands. We ask for extra lead time, because if you need to switch to a different brand, we want to transition slowly over several days to avoid stomach upset.
