About

Larkin J. Daniels, M.D. is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College and graduated magna cum
laude. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 1992. While a medical student, he was awarded a Stanley J. Sarnoff Fellowship for Research in Cardiovascular Disease. This award provided for an additional year of training as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Following medical school, he received his surgical training at Duke University. This training included a five-year residency in general surgery, a three-year Surgical Research Fellowship and an additional two-year residency in cardio-thoracic surgery. Dr. Daniels is board certified in both general surgery and cardio-thoracic surgery.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Sabiston Surgical Society, General Thoracic Surgical Club, Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Mobile County.
