Platte Woods Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our family owned practice. We are a fast paced growing three Doctor practice, but like to maintain our small family feel.
Applicants must have a strong work ethic, preserve a positive personality, capable of communicating effectively, be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast paced environment, have the ability to work with a team, and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to patients as well as clients.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
Assisting Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians.
Handling and restraining pets
Assist in the taking of x-rays
Monitor and collect samples as needed
Monitor, record, and report physical signs of all animals in hospital
Cleaning/maintenance
Care of all animals in hospital as needed
Sample collections and preparation
Preparation of a prescriptions for dispensing
Surgical assistance to a licensed veterinarian
