Dr. Sosland holds a bachelor's degree from Washington University and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she served as Chief Fellow of Cardiology. Dr. Sosland is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in cardiovascular disease. Her areas of expertise include non-invasive imaging, such as echocardiography, peripheral vascular disease, and nuclear cardiology. She has particular interests in women's cardiovascular health, prevention, lipidology, and atherosclerosis. She has published and presented extensively on cardiovascular topics. Dr. Sosland is active in many volunteer capacities throughout the Kansas City area including her service on the KC Care Clinics, the advisory board of the Gift of Life Foundation and on the Women's Heart Health Advisory Council. Dr. Sosland also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
