Dr. Sabapathy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with nearly 15 years of private practice experience. He is a native of Joplin, Missouri and received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Sabapathy completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia and served as chief resident. He completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of California-Davis where he also served as chief fellow. His interventional cardiology/peripheral intervention fellowship was completed at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. His areas of interest include coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, peripheral vascular disease, and treatment of venous insufficiency. He has to his credit numerous research projects and publications focusing on the identification of coronary artery disease in the emergency room, and in women and the elderly. In addition, he has published numerous case reports detailing complex coronary interventions. He has been recognized by his peers being elected a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a fellow in the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. He is a board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
