Columbus Police were searching for two young men accused of robbing a 19-year-old in northeast Columbus at a gas station in the 1900 block of Cleveland Avenue after 5 a.m. December 14. Police said the alleged victim was attacked by two men in their late teens or early 20s who got away with the alleged victim’s car after threatening to shoot him. Columbus Police released photos of the suspect and their vehicle.

The Columbus Dispatch reported that rapes, stalking, and dating and domestic violence cases were up in 2019 at Ohio State, according to its most recent campus safety report. From September 30, 2019, through the end of 2019, reports of fondling jumped by 772, nearly doubling the total, and reports of rape jumped by 80. There were 118 reports of rape last year at Ohio State, up from 93 in 2018, and 72 in 2017.

A Granville man who caused a June 2019 car accident that killed a child in the left rear seat recently got community supervision and probation. The vehicular manslaughter charge led to a $679 fine and 60 days with 60 suspended and a year of probation, 40 hours of community service, and two-year license suspension, according to the Newark Advocate.
