With over 25 years of clinical experience, Steven V. Pacia joined Northwell Health in 2017 and serves as the Vice Chair of Neurology for North Shore University Hospital and as the Director of Neurology for Northwell Health’s eastern region. He is also an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Pacia earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed both his neurology residency and a fellowship in EEG/Epilepsy at Yale University School of Medicine. He is double board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology.
Dr. Pacia has been awarded a number of grants to support his research and was the principal site investigator for the first multicenter NIH-funded study of epilepsy surgery. He has authored many peer-reviewed articles on the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and co-authored the book Alternative Therapies For Epilepsy, which provides an evidence-based review of complementary and alternative therapies for care of the epilepsy patient.
