Dr. Brian Dahl joined the Bone & Joint Center in 2015. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in adult reconstruction.
A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, Dr. Dahl received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota. He then attended medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he received his Doctorate in Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Dahl completed an internship in General Surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He then spent an additional five years of training at Southern Illinois University Orthopaedic Residency Program in Springfield, Illinois. He went on to complete a fellowship in adult reconstruction with the renowned surgeon and innovator Dr. Aaron Hofmann in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Dahl has a special interest in the treatment of injuries and illnesses in remote or austere environments. Through lectureship series, hands-on training, volunteer work, and publications he became a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) in 2013.
Dr. Dahl specializes in the treatment of common and complex problems of the hip and knee including joint pain, arthritis, primary and revision total joint replacement, partial knee replacement, patellofemoral replacement, and lower extremity trauma.
Dr. Dahl is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Wilderness Medical Society.
