Dr. Troy Pierce joined The Bone & Joint Center in 1997. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who holds a certificate of added qualification for hand and microvascular surgery.
A native of Bowman, North Dakota, Dr. Pierce received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota. He then attended the University of North Dakota Medical School where he received his Masters degree in biochemistry and his Doctorate in medicine. After medical school, he spent five years training at Grand Rapids Orthopaedic Residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He then completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in hand and microvascular surgery.
Dr. Pierce specializes in the treatment of common and complex problems of the upper extremity such as carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist and elbow pain, and rotator cuff and shoulder problems.
Dr. Pierce is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society of Surgery of the Hand.
