Jonathan Goldenthal, M.D. is a Board-Certified Pediatrician at Staten Island University Hospital. In his current role as Director of the Regular Care Nursery and Pediatric Hospitalist he is responsible for the care of both newborns in the Nursery and patients on the Pediatric Unit. Dr. Goldenthal completed his residency in pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center - Northwell Health in the spring of 2009, and spent a year and a half in private practice before joining Staten Island University Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist. In 2011, he joined the pediatric faculty practice and became the Director of Outpatient Pediatrics where he was responsible for taking care of patients in the ambulatory setting.
Dr Goldenthal has been involved in teaching and mentoring resident and medical student and directing the pediatric medical clerkship for medical students rotating through Staten Island University Hospital. His interest in teaching is something he thoroughly enjoys.
Dr. Goldenthal has a particular interest in preventative medicine, nutrition, obesity, and asthma. He takes great pride in caring for his patients, fostering longstanding relationships with them and their families, and watching them grow.
