Vijaya Chandrakant, M.D. is a Primary Care Pediatrician at Staten Island University Hospital. In this role, she helps ensure that her patients' needs are met with the highest quality expectations that she has established. She is actively involved in the education of both Residents and Students, and takes joy in sharing her knowledge with others. As a Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Chandrakant cares for children from birth up to the age of 21. She believes that prevention is the best medicine, and that comes with both caregivers and physicians being actively involved. Helping the child be the best they can be is one of Dr. Chandrakant's highest priorities.
